Kushies Layette 2017

Experience Matters

The Kushies Story

Kushies was established as Diana Dolls Wear Ltd. in 1953, by Mary Malinowski of Stoney Creek, Ontario. Founded as a small “cottage-style” industry, the company grew to become the only Canadian manufacturer of doll clothing and accessories with a customer list that included all the major Canadian department stores.

Today, the company is owned by Mary’s daughter Susan and her husband Sam Perez.

With a seasonal product line focused on Christmas, Sam and Susan looked at other market possibilities for the company to expand.  In 1988, the Kushies washable cloth diaper was launched and the company went on to offer multiple products ranging from layette, bedding, bath, feeding and outerwear, to name a just a few.

Today, Kushies is still located in Stoney Creek, Ontario. All of our office and manufacturing personnel are housed under one roof where everything from product conception, design and production takes place. More than half of our products are proudly manufactured in Canada. The ability to produce products in house gives us an edge on our competitors as it allows us to supervise quality, turn merchandise around quickly and adjust rapidly when necessary. We’re committed to offering you ethically made products that you can trust.

We’ve had the privilege of having children ourselves so we understand what’s important to our customers. We are constantly working on improving our products and value our customers and their feedback.

This year, we have a lot of new and exciting products in the pipeline so stay tuned! It will be worth it.

Looking towards the future, we will continue to produce affordable, luxury products that are made ethically for our babies and yours.

We are very grateful to you, our customers, for your continued support.
